Labour ComplianceThe Government of Madhya Pradesh issued an amendment to the Madhya Pradesh Factories Rules, 1962. 

The following has been stated:

• In rule 107, in schedule II for serial number 3 and entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries relating thereto shall be substituted, namely: - 

o “3. Prohibition relating to pregnant or lactating women and young persons – (1) No pregnant or lactating women, adolescent or child shall be employed or permitted to work at a bath. (2) No women shall be employed against the maternity benefit provisions laid down under any prevailing laws and shall not be deprived of her employment during the period of complete pregnancy and lactation period for 6 months.”

• In schedule III for serial number 3 and entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries relating thereto shall be substituted, namely: - 

o “3. Prohibition relating to pregnant or lactating women and young persons – (1) No pregnant or lactating women, adolescent or child shall be employed or permitted to work at a bath. (2) No women shall be employed against the maternity benefit provisions laid down under any prevailing laws and shall not be deprived of her employment during the period of complete pregnancy and lactation period for 6 months.”
