Industry Specific ComplianceThe Multi-Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation Limited (MCX) on April 11, 2026, notified regarding the ComRIS API.

The following has been stated:

• The circular introduces the ComRIS API framework to enable seamless integration between clearing members’ systems and MCXCCL systems. This API facilitates efficient handling and tracking of electronic warehouse receipts (eWHR) and improves operational efficiency through automated, real-time data exchange. Members willing to use this API must register through the prescribed form, and MCXCCL will provide connectivity and technical support.

• The API framework is designed to support key functions such as account opening, holding statement retrieval, pledge/repledge transactions, commodity withdrawal, and delivery processes. It uses secure authentication mechanisms like OAuth2 token-based access, IP whitelisting, and SSL encryption, ensuring that only authorized systems can interact with the platform.

• Further, the circular specifies detailed technical standards, including mandatory JSON format for data exchange, defined HTTP status codes, and structured API endpoints. It also lays down strong security protocols, including AES-256 encryption, RSA encryption, and digital signatures (SHA256withRSA), to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and authentication of transactions.
