Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on April 13, 2026, issued circular on Event-Based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) on Turmeric and Coriander Contracts.

NCDEX has re-triggered an Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) of 2.5% on Turmeric contracts, based on its High-Low price variation formula [(High-Low)/Low x 100]. This is in line with the framework established through earlier circulars issued between 2019 and 2021. The E-ASM will be applicable on all running and yet-to-be-launched Turmeric contracts until May 6, 2026.

Among the other monitored commodities — Barley, Castor Seed, Coriander, Guar Gum, Guar Seed, and Jeera — only Coriander has an active E-ASM applicable till May 5, 2026, while the rest currently show no triggered thresholds. All other existing margins across commodities will continue to be levied as usual.
