Industry Specific ComplianceThe Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on April 13, 2026, introduced the Master Circular for Depository Participants (DPs), consolidating all relevant guidelines and communiqués issued up to March 31, 2026. It is framed in line with directions from the Securities and Exchange Board of India, particularly its 2024 Master Circular requirement, which mandates annual subject-wise consolidation of applicable guidelines. This circular excludes provisions already covered under the Depositories Act, SEBI Regulations, CDSL Bye-Laws, and Operating Instructions, and is intended to be read alongside them.

The document is structured into 22 chapters along with abbreviations and references to active and rescinded communiqués, and it becomes effective immediately upon issuance. It also clarifies that any prior actions, rights, obligations, or liabilities under rescinded guidelines will continue to remain valid and enforceable, ensuring continuity and legal consistency. Overall, the circular serves as a comprehensive and updated reference framework for DPs to ensure compliance within the depository system.
