Industry Specific ComplianceThe Multi-Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) on April 13, 2026, issued a notification regarding Mandatory Monthly Participation of Approved Algorithms in Mock/Simulation Trading.

It reminds Trading Members that participation of all approved algorithms in mock or simulation trading sessions is mandatory on a monthly basis. This requirement applies to all algorithms, regardless of whether they are actively enabled on user IDs or have undergone any recent changes.

The Exchange will strictly monitor compliance, and any non-participation will require formal justification from the concerned Trading Member. Failure to provide a satisfactory explanation or respond may lead to disciplinary action, including suspension of proprietary trading rights for at least one trading day.

Trading Members are therefore advised to review their algorithms and ensure adequate systems and resources are in place to participate in mock sessions for a minimum of one hour each month. Alternatively, participation in the Exchange’s simulation environment for the same duration is also permitted, with proper intimation to the Exchange. Overall, the advisory emphasizes strict compliance and proactive readiness from members.

Members are requested to take note of the above advisory, as same is mandatory.
