The Finance (Excise) Department, Govt. of Rajasthan on April 01, 2026, issued the Rajasthan Excise (Grant of Hotel Bar/Club Bar Licenses) (Amendment) Rules, 2026, further to amend the Rajasthan Excise (Grant of Hotel Bar/Club Bar Licences) Rules, 1973.
The following has been stated:
• The Government has amended Rule 3(3) of the Rajasthan Excise (Grant of Hotel Bar/Club Bar Licences) Rules, 1973 by revising the license fee structure for Heritage Hotels and Other Hotels. The amendment introduces a graded fee system based on the number of rooms and location.
• For Heritage Hotels, license fees now vary according to room capacity (up to 10, 11–25, and above 25 rooms) and are highest in prime tourist/urban areas like Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Mount Abu, etc., moderate in district headquarters, and lowest in other areas.
• Similarly, for Other Hotels, fees are categorized based on room capacity (up to 50, 51–100, and above 100 rooms), with higher fees applicable in major urban/tourist zones, followed by district headquarters and then other areas.
