Industry Specific ComplianceThe PIB Headquarters on April 13, 2026, issued a notification regarding the National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) – Digital Transformation of Agricultural Trade in India.

The following has been stated: -

•The National Agriculture Market (e-NAM), launched in 2016, is a pan-India digital platform aimed at integrating agricultural mandis to create a unified national market and enable transparent price discovery. 

•By March 2026, it had connected 1,656 mandis across 23 States and 4 Union Territories, with over 1.80 crore farmers, 2.73 lakh traders, and 4,724 Farmer-Producer Organizations registered. 

•The platform has facilitated cumulative trade of 13.25 crore metric tonnes valued at ₹4.84 lakh crore, reflecting significant growth in scale and participation. 

•It offers key features such as online bidding, real-time price tracking, and direct electronic payments to farmers, improving efficiency and reducing intermediaries.

•Further, integration with systems like e-NWR and the Platform of Platforms strengthens storage, credit access, and overall agricultural value chain efficiency, advancing the vision of “One Nation, One Market.”
