Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, on April 11, 2026, issued the Draft Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy, 2026–2030.

The following has been stated: -

•The Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy 2026–2030 aims to curb air pollution by promoting rapid adoption of electric vehicles through financial incentives, infrastructure development, and regulatory support. 

•Backed by constitutional and legal provisions, the policy identifies vehicular emissions as a major contributor to pollution and prioritises electrification of high-impact segments such as two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and goods vehicles. 

•It offers phased purchase incentives, scrapping benefits, and direct benefit transfers to eligible buyers, along with 100% exemption from road tax and registration fees for most EVs (subject to price conditions). 

•Additionally, the policy focuses on expanding charging infrastructure, encouraging battery recycling, and building a sustainable electric mobility ecosystem in Delhi.

All stakeholders, including the general public, may submit their feedback/comments within 30 days.
