The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on April 13, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Amendments to DP Operating Instructions Chapter – 8.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Changes have been made to CDSL’s DP Operating Instructions, specifically Chapter 8 (Pledge/Unpledge/Invocation).
• Unpledge or invocation along with sale has been made a combined automated process.
• The changes apply to securities under CUSPA Pledge, Margin Pledge, and MTF Pledge.
• Amendments include updates to Annexure A and Annexures 8.5, 8.6, and 8.8, with changes highlighted in red.
• Depository Participants (DPs) are advised to review the changes and ensure proper compliance.
