Industry Specific ComplianceThe Multi-Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) on April 13, 2026, issued a reminder regarding the reporting of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications and systems used or offered by its members.

The circular reiterates that Trading Members must report details of AI/ML applications in accordance with earlier circulars and existing regulatory provisions. For the reporting period ending March 31, 2026, members are required to submit relevant details based on prescribed applicability criteria.

As per the reporting timelines, Trading Members using algorithmic software must submit AI/ML details on a half-yearly basis within 15 calendar days from the end of the half-year. Other Trading Members are required to report annually within 15 calendar days from the end of the financial year.

Additionally, the Exchange highlighted that members registered with multiple exchanges and using algorithmic software across them may submit AI/ML details to NSE, which will further share the information with other exchanges, such as MCX, BSE, MSE, and NCDEX, through a common submission mechanism.

Trading Members are advised to ensure timely and accurate reporting to remain compliant with Exchange requirements.

Members are requested to take note of the above advisory, as the same is mandatory.
