Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, on March 31, 2026, issued a circular regarding transition of SKU validity and barcode operations in the eAbkari system for the new Excise Year 2026–27.

The circular provides that all existing SKUs registered in the eAbkari system shall automatically expire on March 31, 2026 at 23:59:59, and no trade can be conducted using such SKUs unless validity is extended. L1 licensees are required to register their brands afresh for the new excise year through the prescribed eAbkari workflow.

Further, upon approval of the same brand for the same licensee in the new excise year, the system will automatically extend the validity of the corresponding old SKUs, ensuring continuity of operations and proper handling of existing stock until the end of the excise year.
