The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on April 15, 2026, notified regarding the Commodity Derivatives Segment - Settlement Calendar (Compulsory Delivery) for May 2026.
The following has been stated:
• The circular notifies all members about the Settlement Calendar for compulsory delivery in the Commodity Derivatives Segment for May 2026. It provides a detailed schedule for commodities such as gold, silver, and base metals, operating under a T+1 settlement cycle, where settlement is completed one day after the trade.
• The calendar outlines key dates, including trading sessions, contract expiry, delivery intention, delivery marking, and the pay-in and pay-out of both commodities and funds. It also specifies separate settlement schedules for futures and options contracts.
• Additionally, the circular explains the delivery logic at primary delivery centers, including applicable charges such as weight differential, premium or discount, making charges, and penalties for non-delivery.
