The Government of Telangana, on March 12, 2026, issued a notification regarding Misbranded Pesticide Alert.
The following has been stated: -
•The Office of the Commissioner & Director of Agriculture, Telangana, reported that the pesticide Azadirachtin 1% EC (Batch No. AR/NS/2503, brand “Trishool”) was found misbranded after analysis showed only 0.04% active ingredient instead of the declared 1%.
•The product was manufactured by GNP Agrosciences Pvt. Ltd. and marketed by Agries Agro Ltd. Authorities have ordered an immediate stop-sale for 30 days on this batch across the state.
•District Agriculture Officers must publicize this widely through newspapers and agricultural magazines to alert farmers.
•Farmers are advised not to purchase or use this product, and strict action will be taken under the Insecticides Act, 1968.
