The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MoSDE) on March 25, 2026, issued notification regarding the Standardisation of Timelines and Process Flow for Apprenticeship Contract Signing, Advisor Verification and Payroll Creation on the Apprenticeship Portal.
The circular introduces standardized timelines, processes, and system-based controls to streamline apprenticeship contract handling. It aims to ensure timely verification, approval, and payroll creation by clearly defining responsibilities for candidates, establishments, and advisors (details provided in Annexure-I).
These provisions come into effect immediately, and all stakeholders are required to strictly adhere to the prescribed timelines and procedures. States are specifically instructed to ensure that advisors promptly approve Optional Trade apprenticeship contracts so that establishments can generate stipend payrolls without delays.
The circular also replaces earlier guidelines issued on December 31, 2025, and January 8, 2026, making this the updated framework for all related processes.
