The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on April 16, 2026, issued amendments to DP Operating Instructions Chapter – 2.
Depository Participants (DPs) are informed that amendments have been made to Chapter 2 (Account Opening) of the DP Operating Instructions issued by Central Depository Services Limited. These changes are based on circulars issued by Securities and Exchange Board of India regarding the revamp of nomination facilities in the Indian securities market.
The revised provisions aim to streamline and strengthen the nomination framework for demat accounts. Updated documents reflecting these changes have been shared in track changes mode across relevant annexures for reference.
