Secretarial ComplianceThe Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on April 16, 2026, notified regarding the Non-Charging of AMC in Demat Accounts Consisting of Illiquid, Suspended or Delisted Securities.

It has reiterated its earlier guidance regarding non-charging of Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC) for demat accounts holding only illiquid, suspended, or delisted securities. Depository Participants (DPs) are informed that a DP-wise list of Beneficial Owner (BO) accounts marked as “To be Closed” and meeting these conditions has been shared through their billing folders. These lists are based on data received from stock exchanges.

DPs are required to review the provided list and ensure that AMC is not levied on such accounts, in line with the earlier communique dated September 30, 2025. If no such accounts exist for a DP, no file will be available for download.
