The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on April 16, 2026, notified the date of establishment and withdrawal of the Indian Standards related to Welding and Allied Processes.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Dates of Establishment shall be March 30, 2026 -
• IS 813 (Part 1) : 2026 ISO 2553 : 2019 Welding and Allied Processes Part 1 Symbolic Representation on Drawings — Welded Joints (Third Revision).
• IS 11682 : 2026 Criteria for Design of Reinforced Concrete Staging for Elevated Liquid Storage Tanks (First Revision).
• IS 8604 : 2026 Determination of Compression Strength of Iron Ore Pellets After Reduction — Method of Test (First Revision).
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Date of Withdrawal shall be September 30, 2026: -
• IS 813 (Part 1) : 2018 ISO 2553 : 2013 Welding and Allied Processes Part 1 Symbolic Representation on Drawings — Welded Joints (Second Revision).
• IS 11682 – 1985 Criteria for Design of RCC Staging for Overhead Water Tanks.
• IS 8604 – 1977 Method for Determination of Compression Strength of Iron Ore Pellets After Reduction.
