The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on April 16, 2026, notified regarding the Declaration of Drug - Wax Softner Ear Drop "Not of Standard Quality" on Testing.
The following has been stated:
• A specific batch of ear drops (Vivim Wax Softner) has been declared “Not of Standard Quality (NSQ)” after testing by the Central Drug Testing Laboratory, Hyderabad, due to failure in assay of key ingredients. All units are directed to immediately stop usage and withdraw the stock from stores and patient areas.
• Medical stores shall inform the vendor of replacement within 15 days or arrange return and refund, and initiate action as per tender conditions, including recovery of testing costs.
