The Government of Madhya Pradesh, on April 13, 2026, issued a notification regarding the reduction of Stamp Duty for Topidar and Bharmar Gun Licenses.
The following has been stated: -
•This notification exercises powers under the Indian Stamp Act, 1899.
•The state government has officially reduced the stamp duty rates for licenses and renewals specifically pertaining to topidar or bharmar guns.
•Under the revised schedule, the stamp duty for a new license is set at two thousand rupees, while the renewal fee is fixed at one thousand rupees.
