The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on April 17, 2026, issued circular on Submission of Internal Audit Report for the half year ended on March 31, 2026.
NCDEX has directed all members to conduct an internal audit for the period October 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026 through independent qualified professionals (CA/CS/CMA) with no conflict of interest. The digitally signed audit report (with UDIN) must be submitted via email by May 31, 2026, and all reported non-compliances must be rectified by July 31, 2026.
The audit must follow prescribed formats and annexures, include detailed sampling, and report instance-wise non-compliances with supporting documents. Members are also required to submit undertakings regarding margin practices and place the report before their governing body.
Strict action, including penalties and disciplinary measures, will be taken for delayed submission, unresolved non-compliances, or critical violations (such as client fund shortfalls or assured returns). Additional reporting requirements and revised sampling guidelines have been introduced, and auditors must immediately report serious issues directly to the Exchange.
