The District Administration, Amritsar, dated April 07, 2025 and February 13, 2026, has ordered the constitution of a “Parali Surakhya Force” to prevent and monitor stubble burning in the district.
The force comprises key officials including Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar, Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO), Cooperative Department officials, Station House Officer (SHO), and Agriculture Officers. The Chief Agriculture Officer and concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) will supervise and coordinate the functioning of the force.
At the village level, the force will monitor, prevent, and report stubble burning incidents, conduct field patrols (especially in the evening), maintain regular interaction with farmers, and promote awareness. The teams will report daily to SDMs and support cluster/nodal officers. These directions have been issued with immediate effect upon approval of the competent authority.
