Labour ComplianceThe Government of Gujarat on March, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Prohibitory Order in Valsad district to Maintain Law and Order During Elections and Ambedkar Jayanti Celebrations 

The following has been stated namely: -

• The order is issued by the Additional District Magistrate, Valsad under Section 37(1) of the Gujarat Police Act, 1951. 

• Imposed due to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, upcoming local body elections (April 26, 2026), and prevailing international situation to maintain law and order. 

• The restrictions apply across the entire Valsad district. 

• This is Effective from April 12, 2026 to April 26, 2026

• Carrying weapons such as swords, spears, guns, knives, or any object capable of causing harm is prohibited. 

• Carrying explosives and torches (lit or unlit) in processions is prohibited. 

• Prohibition of obscene slogans, songs, insulting gestures, or any acts hurting morality or public sentiment. 

• Displaying effigies, dead bodies, or objectionable visual materials (pamphlets, posters, etc.) is prohibited.
