Labour ComplianceThe Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on April 20, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Protocols to be followed by ROs/SROs/ESIC Hospitals/ESIC Medical and Dental Colleges during visits of Headquarters Officers.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The guidelines is issued to ensure uniformity, coordination, and effective utilization of visits by ESIC Headquarters officers. 

• It applies to visits to Regional Offices (ROs), Sub-Regional Offices (SROs), ESIC Hospitals, and Medical/Dental Colleges. 

• Offices must coordinate in advance with visiting officers regarding schedule, purpose, and requirements. 

• Each office must designate a nodal officer to manage visit-related coordination. 

• Ensure availability of workspace, seating, and necessary facilities beforehand. 

• Relevant files, documents, and updated data must be kept ready and accessible. 

• Concerned officials must attend meetings/reviews fully prepared with data and inputs. 

• For inspections, compliance status of previous observations must be compiled and presented. 

• All directions given by visiting officers must be properly recorded. 

• Necessary actions on instructions must be implemented within prescribed timelines. 

• A brief report with action taken/proposed must be submitted to Headquarters after the visit. 

• Heads of Offices should not take leave during visits of senior officers (Commissioner level or above), in emergencies, prior verbal and written intimation is mandatory.
