The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on April 21, 2026, issued a notification regarding outreach on the New Income Tax Act, 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•The Income Tax Department in Delhi conducted an outreach programme to promote awareness of the Income Tax Act, 2025, focusing on educational institutions and charitable trusts. The event saw participation from over 80 schools and representatives from across the Delhi–NCR region.
•It was highlighted that the new Act aims to simplify procedures, reduce ambiguities, and enhance transparency through technology-driven processes aligned with the “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision.
•An inter-school quiz, “Tax Your Brain,” engaged students and encouraged financial literacy. The initiative reflects the Department’s commitment to stakeholder engagement and a more efficient, transparent, and taxpayer-friendly system.
