The Commissioner of Labour, Vijayawada on April 07, 2026, issued the Declaration of Paid Holiday for Electors of Puducherry and Tamil Nadu Working in Select Districts of Andhra Pradesh on Polling Dates
The following has been stated namely: -
• Based on the Election Commission of India schedule, Andhra Pradesh has announced paid holidays for certain inter-state electors working in select districts.
• Paid holidays apply to employees who are electors of Puducherry and Tamil Nadu but are working in Andhra Pradesh districts: Kakinada, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema, Tirupati, and Chittoor.
• Polling dates covered:
o Puducherry: April 09, 2026
o Tamil Nadu: April 23, 2026
• Labour authorities have been instructed to ensure strict implementation of paid holidays for eligible workers across all establishments, including daily wage, casual, and shift workers.
