Secretarial ComplianceThe Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) on April 21, 2026, notified regarding the Submission of Half Yearly Networth Certificate as on March 31, 2026.

All members of the Exchange are required to maintain the prescribed minimum net worth at all times as part of continuing membership norms. In line with this requirement, members must submit the Half-Yearly Networth Certificate along with the computation of net worth as on March 31, 2026, in the prescribed format, on or before May 31, 2026.

As per the technology-based sharing mechanism introduced earlier, members who are also registered with NSE are required to submit their net worth certificate only to NSE. The NSE will share the submitted data and documents with the Exchange, and such submission will be treated as compliance with regulatory requirements for both exchanges. However, members who are not registered with NSE must submit their details directly through the MCX online portal within the stipulated timeline.

The Exchange will continue to monitor and supervise compliance as per existing processes. Members are also required to adhere to the variable net worth requirement, which is 10% of the average daily cash balance of clients retained over the previous six months across all segments and exchanges.

Failure to submit the net worth certificate within the due date, or failure to rectify any deficiencies within 15 days of intimation, will attract disciplinary action. Additionally, a penalty of ₹1,000 per day, subject to a maximum of ₹2,00,000, will be levied for delays or non-compliance until the correct details are submitted.
