Secretarial ComplianceThe Multi-Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. (MCX) on April 21, 2026, issued a circular regarding Event-Based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) – Cardamom.

The following has been stated: -

•The Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) has announced the imposition of an Enhanced Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) of 2.50% on all current and upcoming Cardamom contracts.

•This regulatory measure is based on observed High-Low price variations and aligns with existing Exchange Business Rules and previous surveillance circulars.

•The additional margin requirement becomes effective at the beginning of the trading day on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

•This specific E-ASM will remain applicable until Wednesday, May 13, 2026, and all members are advised to adjust their trading capital requirements accordingly.
