The Government of Himachal Pradesh, on March 31, 2026, issued amendments in the Himachal Pradesh Excise Bonded Warehouses Rules, 1987.
The following has been stated: -
•Sub-rule 5(3) under Rule 5 has been amended to replace the earlier license fee amounts for BWH-2 (IMFL) and BWH-2 (CL), and introduce revised per-unit bottling rates.
•For foreign spirit bottled on a lease/franchise basis, the rate is ₹10.50 per 750 ml for consumption within the State and ₹2.50 per unit for export, while for own brands it is ₹6.50 per 750 ml within the State and ₹1.50 per unit for export.
•For country liquor, the rate is ₹2.00 per 750 ml within the State and ₹1.00 per unit for export.
