The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on April 22, 2026, issued a notification regarding an update in the enhancement in the Scrip Master File format.
The following has been stated:-
•The notice updates the Scrip Master File format to include a Closing Auction Session (CAS) indicator under Field 24, where ‘0’ denotes non-CAS scrips and ‘1’ denotes CAS scrips.
•It also revises the ISO tag name for Field 59 from ‘Rsvd01’ to ‘XchgExclsv’ without changing its value or data type.
•These changes are part of enhancements linked to the introduction of the Close Auction Session (CAS).
•Trading members and system vendors are required to update their applications accordingly.
•The updated file format will be implemented from the end of the day on July 31, 2026.
