The following has been stated: -

•The Reserve Bank of India has released a draft Master Direction on Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPIs) following a comprehensive review aimed at promoting long-term growth and enhancing transaction security.

•The draft invites comments and feedback from regulated entities, stakeholders, and the public, which can be submitted through the “Connect 2 Regulate” section on its website by May 22, 2026.
