The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on April 22, 2026, issued a notification regarding the blocking of websites as per the Delhi High Court Order.
The following has been stated: -
•The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has issued directions to all internet service licensees to comply with the Delhi High Court order in the case of Dazn Limited & Anr. vs. 9goals.io & Ors..
•Licensees are required to immediately block access to 56 identified websites/domains involved in unauthorized streaming.
•The action is based on court directives to prevent infringement of broadcasting rights. Relevant authorities and stakeholders have also been informed of the necessary compliance.
