The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on April 22, 2026, notified regarding the Designated Market Maker (DMM) framework for Index Derivatives contracts in Equity Derivatives Segment.
The exchange has announced the introduction of a Designated Market Maker (DMM) framework for Futures and Options on the BSE Focused IT Index, effective from May 11, 2026. This follows the earlier launch of these derivative contracts and aims to improve liquidity and trading efficiency.
Additionally, the exchange has made a partial modification to the existing market maker framework for BSE Bankex Options. From the same date, DMM support will be extended to all three serial monthly Bankex Options contracts across all trading days, enhancing market depth and continuity.
Trading members interested in acting as market makers for these contracts must apply through the BEFS portal by May 08, 2026, with approvals becoming effective from May 11, 2026. Detailed operational guidelines are provided in Annexure-1 of the circular.
