The following has been stated: -
•The Government of Telangana has amended the Town Planning Service Rules, 1992, exercising its authority under Article 309 of the Constitution of India.
•This modifies Rule 4, Category 5, expanding the educational eligibility criteria for relevant positions.
•The amendment officially adds M.Sc. (Geography) and M.Sc. (Geoinformatics) as recognized qualifications alongside the existing M.A. (Geography) requirement.
•This change aims to broaden the recruitment pool by acknowledging advanced scientific and technical degrees in the field of spatial planning.
