The Government of Haryana on April 21, 2026, issued the notification regarding Exemption of Haryana Factory Workers for Voting in Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Government of Haryana has temporarily relaxed weekly holiday rules under the Factories Act for a specific week (April 26– May 02, 2026).
• This applies only to factory workers in Haryana who are registered voters in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections held on April 23, 2026.
• Such workers must not be required or allowed to work on 23 April 2026, ensuring they can vote.
