The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on March 27, 2026, issued the date of establishment of amendment of certain Indian Standards (IS).
The amendment of the following IS have been established on March 25, 2026, namely: -
• IS 2088 : 2023 Methods for Determination of Arsenic (Third Revision) - Amendment No. 1 March 2026
• IS 5182 (Part 2/Sec 1) : 2023 Methods for Measurement of Air Pollution Part 2 Sulphur Dioxide Section 1 Tetrachloromercurate/ Pararosaniline Method (Second Revision) - Amendment No. 1 March 2026
• IS 6831 : 2023 Caustic Potash — Specification (Third Revision) - Amendment No. 1 March 2026
The IS without the amendment shall be in force till September 24, 2026
