Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Communications (MoC) on April 22, 2026, issued the notification regarding the revised guidelines for Technology Development and Investment Promotion (TDIP) Scheme.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Jyotiraditya M. Scindia released revised guidelines for the Technology Development and Investment Promotion (TDIP) Scheme to boost India’s role in global telecom standards and innovation. 

• The scheme has an outlay of ₹203 crore (2026–31) and focuses on advancing next-gen telecom technologies like 5G Advanced and 6G. 

• It supports Indian participation in global bodies like the International Telecommunication Union, 3GPP, and oneM2M through funding for meetings, contributions, and leadership roles. 

• The scheme expands participation to startups, MSMEs, academia, and industry, and supports pilot projects and technology demonstrations. 

• It will be implemented via institutions like Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India, Telecom Centres of Excellence, India, and Telecommunications Consultants India Limited, aiming to strengthen indigenous innovation and global competitiveness.
