Industry Specific Compliance The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) on April 22, 2026, issued the authority to investigate offences under Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025.

The following has been granted authority namely: -

• A police officer in charge of a cyber cell in a State and Union territory; or

• Any nodal cyber cell officer in the State Government or Union territory administration, including those at the level of police station, district or commissionerate
