The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on April 29, 2026, notified regarding the Master Circular for Transactions on BSE StAR MF Platform.
The following has been stated:
• The Master Circular issued by Indian Clearing Corporation Limited for transactions on BSE StAR MF (updated till March 31, 2026) is a comprehensive compilation of all operational, risk, settlement, and compliance guidelines applicable to members dealing in mutual fund transactions through the platform.
• In essence, the circular consolidates all prior notices into a single reference document and lays down end-to-end processes, including investor onboarding (KYC/registration), order placement, modification, and cancellation rules, cut-off timings, NAV applicability, and payment mechanisms. It specifies clearing and settlement procedures handled through ICCL, including pay-in/pay-out obligations, funds handling, and reconciliation.
• The circular also details risk management norms, such as margin requirements, exposure controls, and default handling, along with the roles and responsibilities of members, AMCs, RTAs, and clearing corporations.
• Further, it includes provisions on investor protection measures, grievance redressal, audit and inspection requirements, system and reporting obligations, and penalties for non-compliance.
• It also incorporates regulatory requirements aligned with Securities and Exchange Board of India guidelines, ensuring transparency, proper disclosures, and standardization across the platform.
