Industry Specific ComplianceThe Multi-Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) on April 29, 2026, issued the Master Circular - Network Connectivity.

The following has been stated:

• The Master Circular consolidates all existing guidelines and circulars relating to connectivity between exchange systems and members into a single reference document. It outlines the various modes of connectivity available—such as leased line (point-to-point), MPLS, and internet—allowing members to choose based on latency, reliability, and business requirements.

• The circular standardizes procedures for obtaining, maintaining, and upgrading connectivity, including technical specifications, bandwidth requirements, and vendor coordination.

• It also emphasizes network security, redundancy, and business continuity, requiring members to ensure robust systems with minimal downtime and alternate connectivity arrangements.

• Further, it clarifies that the master circular is a compilation of earlier instructions, and in case of any inconsistency, original circulars prevail, while all past actions taken under previous guidelines remain valid.
