The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on April 28, 2026, notified the date of establishment and withdrawal of the Indian Standards related to Hydraulic Jump Type Stilling Basins with Horizontal and Sloping Apron.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Dates of Establishment shall be April 21, 2026 -
• IS 4997 : 2026 Design of Hydraulic Jump Type Stilling Basins with Horizontal and Sloping Apron — Criteria (First Revision).
• IS 5878 (Part 1) : 2026 Construction of Tunnels Conveying Water Part 1 Precision Survey and Setting Out — Code of Practice (First Revision).
• IS 8605 : 2026 Construction of Masonry in Dams — Code of Practice (First Revision).
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Date of Withdrawal shall be October 21, 2026: -
• IS 4997 – 1968 Criteria for Design of Hydraulic Jump Type Stilling Basins with Horizontal and Sloping Apron.
• IS 5878 (Part I) – 1971 Code of Practice for Construction of Tunnels Part I Precision Survey and Setting Out.
• IS 9401 (Part 9) – 1987 Method of Measurement of Works in River Valley Projects (Dams and Appurtenant Structures) Part 9 Lining.
