The Department of Housing and Urban Development, Punjab, April 27, 2026, issued a notification regarding the withdrawal of Punjab Unified Building Rules, 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•The Punjab Government has withdrawn the Punjab Unified Building Rules, 2025, with immediate effect.
•As a result, previously repealed rules—the Punjab Urban Planning and Development Building Rules, 2021 and Punjab Municipal Building Bye-Laws, 2018—are revived.
•These rules will apply as if the 2025 Rules were never notified.
•The Government may issue orders to address any implementation difficulties.
