The Government of Arunachal Pradesh, on January 16, 2026, notified the Arunachal Pradesh Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Rules, 2025, further to amend the Arunachal Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017.
The following has been stated: -
•A new Rule 16A is introduced to allow the grant of a temporary identification number to persons not liable for registration but required to make payments.
•Changes in Rule 19 permit inclusion of details furnished through FORM GST CMP-02.
•Rule 87 is amended to link provisions with the new Rule 16A.
•FORM GST REG-12 is substituted to align with the updated provisions.
These rules shall come into force on January 16, 2026.
