The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on April 28, 2026, issued a Master Circular for Investor Grievances Redressal Mechanism.
The following has been stated:

•Complaints can escalate through SCORES and further to Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) involving conciliation and arbitration.
•ODR provides a structured, time-bound process with online hearings, conciliators, arbitrators, and defined timelines for settlement and awards.
•Strict actions and penalties apply for non-redressal of complaints, including fines, freezing of promoter holdings, and regulatory action against companies/members.
•Detailed rules govern handling of unauthorized trades, requiring proof of client orders and imposing monetary penalties and restrictions on brokers for violations.
