Industry Specific ComplianceThe University Grants Commission (UGC) on April 29, 2026, notified regarding the Introduction of "Forestry" as a subject in the UGC National Eligibility Test.

It has been announced that the UGC-NET exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency, will now include “Forestry” as a new subject starting from June 2026. This decision was taken in the Commission’s 597th meeting based on expert committee recommendations. The syllabus for Forestry is available on the official UGC-NET website.
