The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (MoFAH&D) on May 07, 2026, issued a notification regarding the enforcement of Jan Vishwas amendments for the Live-stock Importation Act.
The following has been stated:-
•The Central Government has notified May 15, 2026, as the effective date for bringing into force the provisions of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026 related to Serial No. 4 of its Schedule.
•These amendments specifically pertain to the Live-stock Importation Act, 1898.
•The notification has been issued under the powers granted by Section 1(2) of the Jan Vishwas Act.
