The Government of Haryana on May 07, 2026, issued the draft Code on Social Security (Haryana) Rules, 2026.
The Haryana Government has issued draft rules under the Code on Social Security, 2020 following its full enforcement on November 21, 2025. These draft rules were earlier published in 2021 for public consultation and are now proposed formally under relevant sections of the Code.
The new draft rules aim to consolidate and replace several existing labour-related rules in the state, including those relating to maternity benefits, gratuity, unorganized workers’ social security, employment exchanges, and construction workers’ welfare. However, actions taken under the previous rules will remain valid.
The notification invites objections and suggestions from stakeholders within 45 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. Submissions must follow a prescribed format and can be sent to the Labour Commissioner, Haryana, either by post or email.
The Haryana Government will consider all feedback received within the specified period before finalizing the rules.
