The Multi-Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation Limited (MCX) on May 08, 2026, notified regarding the Surveillance Obligations for Trading Members - Enhancements in Member Reporting System (MRS).
The following has been stated:
• The Circular enhances the Member Reporting System (MRS) framework for surveillance monitoring and compliance by trading members. The circular requires members to submit quarterly transactional alert status reports through the MRS portal within 15 days of the end of each quarter and introduces system-generated alerts for frequent changes to client UCC details, such as repeated changes to mobile numbers or email IDs.
• Members are now required to submit explanations, clarifications, and supporting documents directly through the upgraded MRS portal, which provides centralized tracking of open, closed, and historical alerts.
• Alerts will be categorized as Observation, Caution, or Warning based on severity, and members must respond within four trading days, with a limited extension facility available through the portal.
• The system also provides automated reminders and escalation mechanisms for unresolved alerts, while expired alerts will become locked to maintain audit trail integrity.
