The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on May 08, 2026, notified regarding the enlistment and updation of Pre-Shipment Inspection Agencies (PSIAs) and Addition of Instruments of existing PSIAs in Appendix-2G under Para 2.52(c) of Handbook of Procedure (HBР), 2023.
The following has been stated:
• It states that the newly approved agencies are located across Rajasthan, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka, and have been authorised after recommendations of the Inter-Ministerial Committee and the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board. The notice also permits two existing PSIAs — Mitra S. K. Private Limited and SOLITARY CONSULTANT PVT. LTD. — to add additional approved inspection instruments.
• The approved PSIAs are authorised to issue online PSICs and are required to maintain valid calibration certificates for instruments, furnish valid bank guarantees, update instrument mapping on the DGFT portal where necessary, maintain a registered office and operational bank account in India, and comply with all applicable FTP, HBP, and DGFT guidelines. The public notice also updates the Appendix-2G list by removing agencies whose enlistment or renewal validity has expired and not been renewed.
