Commercial ComplianceThe Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on April 30, 2026, issued the amendments to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Amendment Regulations, 2026.

It states that at page 70 for substitution of the sub-paragraph (1) of the paragraph 8 in Scheme-IV in Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018, the sentence “The certificate of conformity shall be granted initially for five years.” shall be read as “The certificate of conformity shall be granted initially upto five years."
