Labour ComplianceThe Government of Chhattisgarh, on March 24, 2026, issued a notification regarding the Minimum Wages and Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) for 2026.

The following has been stated:-

•The Labour Commissioner of Chhattisgarh revised minimum wages and Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) rates for workers, effective from April 01, 2026, to September 30, 2026, based on the All India Consumer Price Index averages from July to December 2025. 

•Agricultural workers received a VDA increase of ₹170 per month (₹5.67 per day), while industrial and general sector employees received an increase of ₹226 per month (₹8.69 per day). 

•The revised wage for unskilled agricultural labourers has been fixed at ₹9,350 per month or ₹312 per day. 

•General employment wages have been divided into Zones A, B, and C, with unskilled workers earning between ₹419 and ₹439 per day, depending on the zone. 

•The notification applies to 45 scheduled employments, ensures equal wages for male and female employees, and classifies workers into Unskilled, Semi-skilled, Skilled, and Highly Skilled categories.
